The NMC stands for the ‘ Nursing and Midwifery Council’.
The NMC is the registered body for nurses and midwives in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Our specialist nurses at The Bridge are registered with the NMC. You can request our nurses pin in order to check the registration along with their name on the NMC website.
The NMC sets out specific standards which nurses and midwives must meet to maintain their NMC registration. All of the nurses at The Bridge meet the standards set by the NMC. The NMC provide a code and a legal framework that nurses and midwives must follow. The NMC is the main regulatory body of nurses and midwives in the UK and professionals will not be able to use their titles unless registered with the NMC.
