What does BDA stand for?


BDA stands for ‘British dietetic association’. The BDA is the only body in the UK representing the whole of the dietetic workforce.

What is the BDA?


The BDA are trade union and professional body representing the professional, educational, public and workplace interests of HCPC registered dietitians. They are one of the oldest and most experienced dietetic organisations in the world. Our dietitian is registered with the BDA. What does the BDA do?


The BDA is the largest union for dietitians and is there to protect, support and advise dietitians across the UK. The BDA seeks to promote the equality of opportunity for the dietetic profession, and work to remove barriers to career progression. The BDA provides regular training and continued professional development for nurses across the UK to ensure their practice is ethical and up to date.
